language arts.

Read.

Read for at least 30 minutes a day, but get creative with your reading. Build a fort and read with a flashlight.

Read to a loved pet or stuffie. Read outside in the sunshine.

Remember to log your reading and post on FreshGrade at the end of the week.

week 1

week 1

Monday:

Read for 30 minutes

Record and reflect on your reading.

Bullet Point Current Event Summary

Choose a current event that you're interested in from the Times articles. Read the article and pay close attention to the important details. Create five bullet points that summarize the article.

How to make a great bullet point:

  • Think of a bullet point as a mini headline. It needs to be concise and attention-grabbing.

  • Highlight elements key to understanding the content of your article. There’s no room for fluff here, so call out what’s most important.

  • Keep it simple and avoid adding many long sentences.

  • Make your bullet points symmetrical - just like the ones here.

  • Include keywords from the article.
